We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cellular Wireless Technology Engineering Manager with a strong background in 4G and 5G Cellular technology. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of management experience in Wireless Standards, Hardware Design, Testing, RF, System Architecture, and Product Development to help define best-in-class connectivity systems for GM vehicles.
In this role, the Engineering Manager - Cellular Technology will manage a team responsible for the technology roadmap, system and functional requirements, product and technology evaluations, issue resolution, and testing of hardware components and systems that enable connectivity technologies across all GM vehicles and architectures. You will work closely with cross-functional partners—including vehicle integration, product management, and systems engineering—to create secure and reliable connectivity solutions and support future technology roadmaps from development through production.
The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws. The compensation may not be representative for positions located outside of New York, Colorado, California, or Washington. The expected base compensation for this role is: $159,000 - $235,000. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
Upon successful completion of a motor vehicle report review, you will be eligible to participate in a company vehicle evaluation program, through which you will be assigned a General Motors vehicle to drive and evaluate. Note: program participants are required to purchase/lease a qualifying GM vehicle every four years unless one of a limited number of exceptions applies.
This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}. The selected candidate will be required to travel 25% for this role. This job is not eligible for relocation benefits. Any relocation costs would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
