Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to lead advanced transportation inspections in the Cartersville, GA area. You will supervise junior inspectors, handle complex inspection tasks, and assist with contract administration and project documentation.

The role requires GDOT certifications, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate project activities from plan reading to field execution.

Qualifications

• Must have progressive transportation inspection experience with a state highway agency or consultant.
• Experience serving as a lead inspector and coordinating inspection personnel.
• Ability to read and explain plans, specs, and inspection procedures.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate vehicle in GA.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level construction engineering inspection for roadways and bridges.
• Conduct sampling, inspection, and testing to verify contract conformity.
• Lead project inspections and supervise junior inspectors.
• Prepare project documentation and track pay items.
• Participate in project meetings and reviews.
• Perform project engineering duties as assigned on transportation projects.
• Ensure compliance with LAP and local project requirements.
• Review invoiced work for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor project funding and utilization.
