Job summary

Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior CEI Inspector to perform advanced construction engineering inspection on transportation projects in the Cartersville, GA area.

You will lead inspections, supervise junior staff, and support contract administration and project documentation. This role requires experience inspecting road and bridge work, strong plan-reading skills, and certification readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 4+ years of progressive transportation technician experience.
• Lead inspector experience and ability to coordinate inspection personnel.
• Obtain GDOT certifications and pass qualifications tests within required timeframes.
• Experience inspecting roadway and bridge construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced-level construction engineering inspection work supporting roadway and bridge construction projects.
• Conduct materials sampling, inspection, and testing to verify compliance with project requirements.
• Serve as Lead Project Inspector coordinating inspection personnel and field activities.
• Monitor construction processes for adherence to plans, specs, and contract requirements.
• Perform contract administration duties including field measurements and documentation.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Assist with administration of locally administered transportation projects and LAP compliance.
• Review invoicing for accuracy and project funding utilization.
