Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Seattle to design, build, and run production CDN services using Akamai and/or Cloudflare. You will lead architecture efforts, drive engineering standards, and advance AI-assisted development within an inclusive, accountable team.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver capabilities that improve performance, reliability, and safety while mentoring engineers and shaping secure, scalable solutions across the SDLC.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering with 5+ years of applied software experience.
• Experience owning CDN production systems and frameworks (3+ years).
• Strong system design skills across distributed services, data stores, and messaging systems.
• Experience with cloud patterns and services (AWS).
• Leading through code reviews and mentoring within a team.
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools with secure validation.

Responsibilities

• Share expertise in designing and managing CDN applications using Cloudflare and/or Akamai.
• Develop IaC/GitOps-based automation.
• Apply AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery with discipline.
• Automate network services provisioning and API integrations, including React UI components.
• Lead system design efforts and produce architecture artifacts for high-quality decisions.
• Review code, coach engineers, and raise standards in CI/CD, security, and reliability.
• Build and maintain delivery pipelines with automated tests and quality gates.
• Collaborate with internal teams and evaluate external vendors when beneficial.
• Promote inclusive culture with collaboration and accountability.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with standardized validation.
