Job summary

J.P. Morgan’s Network Services team is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to deploy and operate CDN applications leveraging Akamai and Cloudflare.

You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to improve system performance, reliability, and security, while shaping architecture and elevating engineering standards. You will build Infrastructure as Code and GitOps automation, apply responsible AI-assisted development workflows, automate provisioning, and mentor engineers to raise testing,

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of software engineering with CDN production experience.
• Deep understanding of distributed service architecture and data storage.
• Experience with cloud platforms, especially AWS, is essential.
• Secure SDLC, CI/CD, and operations excellence required.
• Leadership in code reviews and mentoring is valued.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage CDN applications using Cloudflare and Akamai.
• Develop IaC and GitOps automation for deployment and management.
• Apply responsible AI-assisted development workflows.
• Automate network services provisioning and UI components where applicable.
• Lead architecture discussions and produce design artifacts.
• Mentor engineers and raise standards in testing, CI/CD, security, and reliability.
• Maintain delivery pipelines with automated testing and gates.
• Collaborate with internal teams and evaluate external vendors.
• Foster an inclusive team culture and continuous improvement.
• Drive AI-assisted practices to improve code quality and delivery outcomes.
