Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Washington, DC to join the Network Services team. You will be the SME on deploying and operating applications using CDNs from Akamai and/or Cloudflare, and will design, build and run production services while elevating engineering standards.

You will lead architectural decisions, automate via IaC, and apply responsible AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery with disciplined engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years formal software engineering experience.
• Ownership of CDN production systems & frameworks.
• Strong system design across distributed services and data stores.
• Experience running services in AWS and cloud patterns.
• Knowledge of secure SDLC, CI/CD, reliability.

Responsibilities

• Share expertise in designing and managing CDN applications leveraging Cloudflare and/or Akamai.
• Develop IaC/GitOps-based automation.
• Apply AI-assisted development workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining discipline.
• Automate network services infrastructure and provisioning workflows.
• Lead system design and produce architecture artifacts.
• Review code, coach engineers, and raise standards in testing and security.
• Build and maintain delivery pipelines with automated tests and quality gates.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to accelerate outcomes.
• Contribute to an inclusive team culture and continuous improvement.
• Drive adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices with validated AI outputs.
• Apply SDLC toolchain knowledge to improve automation value.
