Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Seattle to join the Core Foundational Platforms team. You will be a core technical contributor delivering trusted, scalable technology across agile teams and ensuring security and reliability.

You will drive AI-enabled development patterns, advance SDLC automation, and establish governance, traceability, and guardrails while mentoring engineers and improving delivery speed and code quality.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced in one or more programming language(s).
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods.
Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
Experience with cloud, AI, ML, mobile, etc.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services IT landscape.
Experience designing agentic AI-enabled development patterns with governance.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use, security, and risk governance.
Practical cloud native experience.

Responsibilities

Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
Develops secure high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
Identifies opportunities to automate remediation and improve stability.
Sets strategy for AI-enabled engineering across a portfolio with guardrails.
Applies SDLC tools to improve automation at scale.
Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture.
Leads communities of practice to adopt new technologies.
Contributes to a culture of diversity, inclusion, and respect.
