Job summary

ARCHER in Seattle is seeking a senior software engineer to lead the design, deployment, and operation of production CDN applications using Akamai and Cloudflare. You will automate network services and provisioning through IaC, GitOps, and API integrations while guiding system design and engineering standards.

You will build reliable delivery pipelines, review code, mentor engineers, and promote secure, AI‑assisted development practices.

Qualifications

• Requires formal software engineering training or certification.
• At least five years of applied software engineering experience.
• At least three years of hands‑on software engineering experience owning CDN production systems.

Lead the design, deployment, and operation of production CDN applications using Akamai and/or Cloudflare, and automate network services and provisioning through IaC, GitOps, and API integrations. Guide system design and engineering standards, build reliable delivery pipelines, review code, mentor engineers, and promote secure, responsible AI-assisted development.

Requirements: Requires formal software engineering training or certification, at least five years of applied experience, and at least three years of hands‑on software engineering experience owning CDN production systems. Candidates should have strong distributed‑system design and cloud experience, knowledge of secure SDLC, CI/CD, and operational practices, and the ability to lead teams in validating AI‑assisted engineering outputs; five or more years of Akamai or Cloudflare operations is preferred.
