Job summary

Ulta Beauty in Tacoma seeks a Lead Cashier to ensure fast, friendly checkout, train new cashiers, and drive loyalty and sales. You'll oversee cashwrap standards, organize displays, and support the leadership team with opening/closing tasks.

The role requires at least high school diploma and 2 years' cashier or retail experience, strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. Flexible hours include weekends; benefits include health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty and retail shrink.
• Greet and engage each guest, personalize service, and recommend Ulta Beauty products and services.
• Handle sales, refunds, and exchanges with courtesy.
• Pair guests with a makeup artist for demos and skincare analysis to drive sales.
• Book appointments for services and in-store events to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures to keep guest-readiness.
• Maintain regular attendance and collaboration with leadership.
