Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Lead Cashier to oversee guest transactions and maintain upbeat cashwrap standards. The role trains new cashiers and cross-trains associates, driving loyalty and sales through a guest-centric approach.

You will support opening/closing routines, cash handling, and display maintenance to ensure a premium in-store experience. Applicants should have 2+ years in cashiering, strong communication skills, and a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets while delivering

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred.
• Proven ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling.
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to meeting or exceeding the store’s goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and retail shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store.
• Ensure that each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest and recommending Ulta Beauty products and/or services.
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges.
• Pair guests with an associate for makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience.
• Book appointments for and support services and in-store events to deliver an unrivaled guest experience while meeting sales goals.
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures to ensure guest-readiness.
• Maintain regular attendance and teamwork.
