Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Grand Junction, CO is seeking a Head Cashier to lead a fast-paced front-end team and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will supervise cashiers, assist with scheduling, training, and performance, and ensure smooth register operations while maintaining store appearance and safety.

This role requires 1–2 years cashiering with leadership exposure, 18+, a HS diploma or GED, strong math skills and flexibility including nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years of cashiering experience with leadership training.
• Must be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills and ability to be a role model.
• Ability to operate front-end equipment—register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong math and cash handling skills; good reading/writing abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Proactively visit registers to provide direction and support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Handle customer assistance issues at the register as needed.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and take steps for disciplinary actions.
• Maintain cash register supply levels and ensure cleanliness standards in restrooms and parking lots.
• Oversee security visibility and loss prevention related tasks.
