Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies
• Seeks out customers to understand needs and assists in locating and loading merchandise
• Assists customers by walking them through projects when necessary
• Communicates information on stock, warranties, and program benefits to customers
• Coaches, trains, and provides feedback to associates in the store
• Uses a cash register to process sales transactions, returns, and refunds
• Removes security tags and bags merchandise for customers
• Prepares register area and stocking supplies at shift start/end
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages
• Enters customer orders, prints tickets, and verifies receipts
• Looks up product information and checks prices for price matches
• Records store-use items on lists and completes cash reconciliation
• Monitors cash in drawer and cash recycler levels
• Alerts management to security risks and shoplifting signs
• Maintains clean, safe, and organized store areas
• Follows safety requirements for equipment and store operations
• Operates store equipment as needed (POS, scanners, printers, CCTV, etc.)
• Performs additional duties as assigned
