Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Camarillo, CA is seeking a Head Cashier to supervise cashiers and support store operations in a fast-paced environment. You will ensure excellent customer service and lead a team across front-end tasks.

The role requires 1-2 years of cashier experience with leadership training, flexible scheduling, and the ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Pay ranges from $17.20 to $23.20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age; possess a high school diploma or GED, and 1-2 years of recent cashiering experience supplemented with leadership training.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers as a role model.
• Ability to operate front end equipment; register, calculator, scanner.
• Strong communication skills; take direction and work in a team.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and stay organized.
• Physical ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs., and move carts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a team of cashiers and assist with operational issues.
• Provide direction/support to Cashiers and Courtesy Clerks.
• Assign store sweeps, monitor cash register supplies and maintain restroom/parking lot cleanliness.
• Maintain visibility of exit doors for security and loss prevention.
• Schedule and oversee breaks in compliance with policy and state requirements.
• Assist in hiring and training new Cashiers and take necessary steps for disciplinary actions.
