Job summary

Ulta Beauty is seeking a Lead Cashier (LC) to optimize guest transactions, maintain cashwrap standards, and support training of new cashiers. The role emphasizes loyalty program engagement, credit processes, and ensuring a seamless guest experience across services and sales.

You will lead by example, manage open/close procedures, and help drive store performance through teamwork, compliance, and superior guest interactions in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge and passion for guest service and a competency for selling
• Experience addressing guests concerns and questions promptly and professionally to deliver exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated experience in exceeding sales goals and training new hires

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty (including credit), and shrink as set by Ulta Beauty for the store
• Ensure each guest receives exceptional service by greeting and engaging each guest and personalizing service
• Courteously handle sales, refunds, and exchanges
• Assist in makeup applications, skincare analysis, and product demonstrations to drive sales and guest experience
• Book appointments for and support services and in-store events
• Maintain cashwrap displays, supplies, and impulse fixtures for guest-readiness
• Maintain prompt, regular attendance
• Contribute to an inclusive environment and support teammates
• Lead cashier training and cross-training of associates
• Drive cashier accountability and adherence to Ulta Beauty systems
• Participate in ongoing training on brand and category education
• Collaborate with store management to grow the business
