Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
• Less than 1 year experience using a computer and common retail tech.
• 1 year of retail cashier experience.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure if required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMART customer service following Lowe's policies and programs.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, and carrying merchandise.
• Answer questions and guide customers through projects in-store.
• Communicate stock, special orders, features, warranties and benefits.
• Coach and train associates in department duties and sales opportunities.
• Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds at the register.
• Handle cash and ensure accurate change.
• Inspect and bag merchandise, load orders, and verify receipts.
• Support checkout with additional registers as needed.
• Prepare and maintain register area and supplies.
• Inspect returned items for damages and record data as required.
• Price match using product info and competitor prices.
• Log store-use items and complete daily reconciliation duties.
• Monitor cash in drawer and cashier-safe levels.
• Manage store entrances/exits security and alert management if needed.
