Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. in Staunton, GA area is seeking a customer-focused associate to join our store team. You will help customers locate and load merchandise, demonstrate products, and answer questions about stock, warranties, and features.

This role requires basic computer and retail tech usage, a high school diploma or GED, and at least one year of cashier or retail experience. You will operate the register, handle cash, and support front-end tasks while upholding Lowe's safety and service

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information.
• Less than 1 Year Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets.
• 1 Year Retail experience as a cashier.
• Ability to obtain sales related licensure or registration as may be required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provides SMART customer service at all times through Lowe's policies and programs.
• Assists customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Responds to customer and employee questions and walks them through projects when needed.
• Communicates stock, special orders, features, warranty information related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coaches and trains associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities.
• Operates cash register for sales, returns, refunds per guidelines.
• Monitors cash in drawer and performs daily reconciliation duties as assigned.
• Inspects returned merchandise for damages and verifies receipts.
• Enters orders, prints tickets, and signs off on loading tickets.
