Purdue University Northwest Dining Services is seeking a Part Time Lead Cashier to oversee front-line staff and cash handling for daily operations. The role focuses on POS transactions, opening/closing procedures, and customer issue resolution during shifts.

The Lead will train student workers, ensure food handler compliance, manage inventory tasks, and communicate operational needs to dining management. Work hours are approximately 19 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• One year of cashiering or food service experience required.
• Experience supervising or leading a team preferred.
• Experience with Purdue University Northwest Dining Services preferred.

Responsabilités

• Operate and oversee POS systems, handle returns and voids, and ensure policy compliance.
• Open/close retail locations, balance cash drawers, and document variances.
• Train and direct student workers, schedule breaks, and model service standards.
• Maintain safety and sanitation, monitor food handler compliance, and communicate needs to management.
