General Summary & Scope

The Lead Cashier (LC) is responsible for the efficiency of guest transactions and maintaining excellence in cashwrap standards, including cleanliness and overall aesthetics. Experienced in cashiering, the LC assists in training new cashiers and cross-training other associates, demonstrating the ability to proactively collaborate, lead, and influence peers. This position drives loyalty results, including credit, through a focus on performance (sales, guest experience, and loyalty), people (guest service, and associate training and development), and process (operating procedures and compliance standards with an emphasis on cashiering). The Lead Cashier supports the leadership team with register functions, associate exit inspections, and cashier chat ins/outs, requiring a passion for guest experience, process excellence, and delivering results by engaging guests on our Loyalty Life Cycle.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Meeting or exceeding store goals related to retail and service sales, omni-channel, guest loyalty, and retail shrink.
• Providing exceptional service by greeting, engaging, personalizing service, and recommending products.
• Handling sales, refunds, and exchanges courteously.
• Pairing guests with associates for makeup, skincare, and product demos to drive sales.
• Supporting appointment bookings and in-store events.
• Replenishing and maintaining cashwrap displays and supplies.
• Maintaining regular attendance.

• Completing cashier chat ins/outs and exit inspections.
• Staying informed on industry trends and product knowledge.
• Promoting the guest loyalty program and creating excitement around credit and loyalty goals.

Job Qualifications

Education

• High school diploma preferred.

Experience

• 2 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
• Ability to delegate, multi-task, and problem-solve.
• Knowledge and passion for guest service and selling.
• Experience addressing guest concerns professionally.
• Experience exceeding sales goals and training new hires.

Skills

• Proficient with POS systems and Apple devices.

Special Position Requirements
