AtMarie Selby Botanical Gardens, our retail store is an extension of the Garden’s mission to inspire and educate visitors about the beauty and importance of plants, especially epiphytes. As a Part-Time Lead Cashier, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring efficient and friendly service at the point of sale. Your responsibilities will include overseeing cashier operations, assisting guests with purchases, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Your commitment to excellent service will enhance the visitor experience while supporting the Garden’s conservation and education efforts.

The Role:

As a Part-Time Lead Cashier, you will be at the forefront of our guest interactions, ensuring smooth and efficient transactions. Your responsibilities will include:

• Mastering the Register System: Handle all transactions with confidence and accuracy.
• Managing Special Transactions: Skillfully process returns, price overrides, and other unique scenarios.
• Opening and Closing Registers: Ensure accurate cash flow and adhere to security procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Experience Required: Prior retail, cash-handling, and customer service experience.
• Flexible Schedule: Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• People Person: Naturally enjoy interacting with guests of all ages.
• Proactive Engagement: Ability to intercept, engage, and demonstrate products effectively.

Physical Requirements
