Summary

The Lead Cashier is responsible for maximizing sales through high customer service standards, store appearance, merchandise management, and minimizing shortages. While not a management role, the Lead Cashier has limited authority to perform specific register functions to support store management.

  • Oversee cash register area ensuring awareness

  • Complete assigned tasks
Visual Presentation
  • Maintain store appearance
  • Replenish merchandise timely
  • Know store merchandise and organization
  • Keep management informed of merchandise issues
  • Execute markdowns and re-merchandising
  • Set up POS effectively
  • Implement marketing directives
  • Interpret floor plans and guidelines
  • Maintain display details
Training
