Job summary

Qualifications

• Seven years of full-time carpentry experience, with at least two years in supervisory duties.
• Experience in carpentry for commercial living dwellings.
• In-depth knowledge of NYC DOB, DOH, and FDNY regulations.
• Strong leadership to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise carpenters and assigned personnel in installation and repair work.
• Prepare work schedules and assignments; monitor progress.
• Conduct field inspections related to carpentry installations and repairs.
• Prepare job orders and material requisitions.
• Oversee the department shop and coordinate with staff, contractors, inspectors.
• Prepare reports and maintain records of work performed.
• Ensure all projects meet NYC safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with other trades to complete projects.
• Review blueprints and diagrams to plan construction.
• Manage a team, assign tasks, and monitor quality control.
• Address construction issues promptly and maintain inventory.
