Job summary

You will supervise installations, coordinate maintenance, enforce codes, train staff, and respond to emergencies while maintaining records and collaborating with other divisions. Residency and licensing requirements apply; a NY driver license is required.

Qualifications

• Six years of electrical experience, last 15 years, at least one year in a supervisory role.
• New York State driver license (NYDL) required to maintain throughout employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage electricians and assigned personnel in installing, repairing and maintaining electrical systems across buildings and facilities.
• Supervise, coordinate, and perform electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards, defects and needed adjustments.
• Ensure electrical work complies with city, state, and national codes and standards.
• Develop and implement electrical maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
• Train and mentor electricians and maintenance staff on best practices and safety procedures.
• Maintain logs and records of all electrical work, inspections, and repairs.
• Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues and dispatch resources.
• Collaborate with other maintenance supervisors and departments for smooth facility operations.
• Make decisions on work procedures; prepare work schedules and assignments.
• Conduct field inspections related to installations and systems progress.
• Prepare job orders and material requisitions; oversee department shop operations.
