Job summary

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of recent, satisfactory, full time, paid experience as a carpenter, at least two (2) years of which must have been spent in duties of a supervisory nature.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to guide carpentry tasks.
• Knowledge of safety standards and building codes.
• Train, mentor, and provide technical guidance to carpenters.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of carpenters and other assigned personnel.
• Plan, assign and review work to ensure it meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project documents to guide carpentry tasks.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials.
• Monitor work progress and adjust schedules as needed.
• Inspect completed work for safety and code compliance.
• Mentor carpenters and enforce safety protocols.
• Communicate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to coordinate activities.
• Assist with material procurement and inventory management for carpentry needs.
