Thompson Restoration Associates is seeking a Lead Carpenter to direct hands-on restoration and specialty reconstruction projects in Columbus, OH. You will manage field operations, interpret drawings, and ensure high-quality craftsmanship on residential and commercial sites.

With 3+ years of carpentry experience, you will lead crews, maintain safety standards, and coordinate with customers and management. The role offers onsite work with travel, competitive hourly pay, and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in carpentry, residential remodeling, or property damage restoration.
• Strong hands-on proficiency across multiple remodeling trades, including framing, trim work, drywall, and cabinetry.
• Proven ability to read construction plans, manage job site timelines, and work with minimal supervision.
• Technical aptitude to navigate company mobile software and record accurate daily field reports.
• Effective communication skills for interacting positively with property owners, field crews, and management.
• Ability to supply your own reliable hand and power tools along with personal job site transportation.
• Lead by example, hold yourself and your team accountable, and remain willing to roll up your sleeves—including cleaning up—to get the job done.

Responsibilities

• Execute a broad range of carpentry tasks from rough framing to high-end finish work on residential and commercial sites.
• Lead daily field operations and direct project processes while maintaining high quality standards and safety protocols.
• Interpret project drawings, manage field change orders, and coordinate building inspections to keep projects on track.
• Resolve real-time structural and finish challenges independently to maintain job site momentum and profitability.
• Document job progress and daily logs using company software to ensure seamless communication with stakeholders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to property owners through clear, professional, and empathetic communication.
