Job summary

KAIKER DEVELOPMENT + CONSTRUCTION is seeking a Lead Carpenter to serve as the primary skilled tradesperson on-site, performing framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, and millwork while mentoring junior crew members. This full-time role requires coordinating with field leadership and maintaining quality craftsmanship across residential and commercial projects.

Work sites span OH, IN, and KY with a focus on safe, efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of residential or commercial carpentry experience.
• Ability to follow professional direction and complete tasks.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
• Strong safety mindset and collaborative work style.

Responsibilities

• Perform framing, finish carpentry, cabinetry, trim, and millwork.
• Lead small crews of carpenters, laborers, and apprentices.
• Coordinate daily activities with the Foreman, Superintendent, and office management.
• Maintain an organized, safe job site and enforce safety rules and company protocols.
• Interpret construction drawings, elevations, plans, and specifications for exact material installations.
• Identify material needs, complete punch-list items and support final project closeout.
