Job summary

Worthington and Shagen Custom Builder is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to guide residential construction projects from setup through completion. This hands-on role requires pride in workmanship, strong client and team communication, and the ability to keep projects moving efficiently on site.

The successful candidate leads by example, proactively solves problems, and maintains high standards for safety, quality, and professionalism while coordinating with the Project Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential carpentry required.
• Ability to supervise and lead crews on jobsites.
• Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety, organization and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day jobsite operations.
• Review plans, scope and project details before and during construction.
• Coordinate materials, subcontractors and scheduling in the field.
• Maintain quality, safety, cleanliness and jobsite organization.
• Communicate with clients and update the Project Manager on progress and changes.
• Complete carpentry work as needed.
