Job summary

Morrison Building & Remodeling in Central Massachusetts is seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to lead daily on-site operations, manage subcontractors, and deliver high-quality residential remodeling work from start to finish. You will report to the Production Manager and work closely with homeowners to maintain safety, organization, and craftsmanship.

Qualifications

5-8 years of residential remodeling carpentry experience.
Expert-level rough and finish carpentry skills and ability to work independently.
Experience leading a jobsite, crew, or subcontractors preferred.
Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans.
Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to anticipate challenges and develop practical solutions in the field.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Massachusetts CSL preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily jobsite activities and coordinate subcontractors as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
Protect client property and maintain professionalism in occupied homes.
Communicate project updates, challenges, and needs with the Production Manager.
Perform all phases of residential remodeling carpentry, including rough and finish work.
