Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter to oversee and execute remodeling projects while upholding our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, passionate about preserving the character of historic homes, and dedicated to excellence in their work.

This role involves managing on-site remodeling projects, collaborating closely with our team of carpenters, project managers, and designers, and ensuring outstanding results and client satisfaction on every project.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise remodeling projects from start to finish, ensuring top-quality craftsmanship.

Read and interpret blueprints to execute project plans accurately.

Utilize both traditional carpentry techniques and modern methods to renovate and preserve the timeless character of historic homes.

Coordinate with team members and trade partners to ensure smooth project execution and clear on-site communication.

Manage materials and supplies, maintaining an organized and efficient workspace.

Mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, sharing expertise and best practices.

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications

5+ years of carpentry experience, with a strong emphasis on residential remodeling and historic home restoration.

Expertise in traditional carpentry techniques, modern building practices, and local building codes.

Strong ability to read blueprints and manage projects effectively.

Proficiency in framing, interior trim carpentry, cabinet installation, and all aspects of residential remodeling.

Commitment to integrity, safety, and delivering excellent client service.

Ability to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, as required by job duties.

Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple projects efficiently.
