Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Lead Caregiver in California to serve as shift leader, coordinating coverage and ensuring high-quality resident care. You will mentor frontline caregivers, model professionalism, and uphold safety and documentation standards.

You will also review care plans, support onboarding, and monitor resident changes to promptly address concerns. This role combines hands-on caregiving with leadership responsibilities and opportunities for growth within the Sunrise team.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Ability to delegate tasks and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Experience leading caregiving teams in senior care settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments and manage attendance.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP and care plans.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
