Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Michigan is seeking a Lead Caregiver to act as shift leader, ensuring high-quality resident care while coaching the caregiving team. You will lead shift assignments, monitor resident changes, and support onboarding and mentoring to maintain service excellence.

The role requires a high school diploma (or GED), CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications, and strong communication as well as delegation and decision-making abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications required.
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision‑making skills.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance, and smooth shift transitions.
