Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in New Jersey is seeking a Lead Caregiver to serve as shift leader, ensuring exceptional resident care while coaching the caregiving team. You will manage shift assignments, support onboarding, and promote safety and documentation standards.

This role requires a High School Diploma/GED, CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications, strong communication and decision-making skills, plus experience in assisted living or memory care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; age 18.
• CPR, First Aid and Medication Administration certifications.
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care.
• Strong communication, delegation and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance and coordinate coverage.
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed.
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality and documentation standards.
• Review charting and ensure alignment with ISP.
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly.
• Support onboarding and mentor new team members.
• Promote safety, compliance and smooth shift transitions.
