Job description

Acti-Kare Responsive In-Home Care is looking for an experienced, highly dependable caregiver who wants a broader role supporting clients, caregivers, and our office team. This is not a traditional caregiver position. The Lead Caregiver & Office Coordinator is a flexible field and operations role for someone who can step in wherever support is most needed. You may help launch a new client, introduce and coach caregivers, complete a quality visit, provide emergency caregiving coverage, assist with scheduling, or help in the office when another team member is out. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, handles changing priorities well, and wants to grow beyond a traditional caregiving role while still providing hands-on care when needed.

What You'll Do
  • Help new clients get off to a strong start, including caregiver introductions, initial shifts, and follow-up support.
  • Provide short-notice and emergency caregiving coverage when needed.
  • Coach and support caregivers in client homes.
  • Conduct caregiver observations and reinforce care plans, professionalism, documentation, and safe caregiving practices.
  • Assist with caregiver orientation and hands-on training.
  • Complete client quality visits and check-ins as assigned.
  • Help identify and resolve concerns related to caregiver fit, client satisfaction, safety, or service quality.
  • Assist with scheduling, caregiver coordination, client-care support, and other office responsibilities during staff absences or busy periods.
  • Participate in a rotating after-hours and weekend on-call schedule.
  • Communicate clearly with clients, families, caregivers, and office staff.
  • Document visits, observations, training, and important follow-up needs.
What We're Looking For
  • Active Washington State Home Care Aide (HCA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential.
  • Strong hands-on caregiving experience.
  • Comfort working with a variety of client needs, including personal care, dementia care, mobility assistance, transfers, and higher-care clients.
  • Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel throughout our service area.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain as required.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort using basic technology for scheduling, communication, and documentation.
  • Excellent reliability and the ability to work independently.
  • Flexibility to move between field caregiving, client visits, caregiver support, training, scheduling, and office assignments based on business needs.
Preferred
  • Experience training, mentoring, or supervising caregivers.
  • Home-care scheduling or care-coordination experience.
  • Experience conducting client quality visits or caregiver observations.
  • Previous lead or field-support experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, or a related setting.
Schedule & Pay
  • $25-28 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
  • This is a part time position with room to grow.
  • Monday - Friday 9AM - 2PM ideal but some flexibility & Weekends as needed
  • Schedule requires flexibility based on client, staffing, and operational needs.
  • Participation in rotating after-hours/weekend on-call coverage is required.
About the Role

We are looking for someone who can confidently walk into a new client's home, help a caregiver succeed, recognize when something needs attention, communicate effectively with the office, and step in when plans change. If you are an experienced caregiver who enjoys being the person others can rely on, this may be a good next step.
