Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Rockville, MD is seeking a Lead Caregiver to join our compassionate care team. As shift leader, you will assign tasks, monitor attendance, coordinate coverage, and coach caregivers to deliver quality, hospitality-focused care aligned with individualized service plans.

You will provide hands-on ADL support, review charting, mentor new team members, and promote safety and compliance on every shift.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; age 18+
• CPR, First Aid, and Medication Administration certifications
• Strong communication, delegation, and decision-making skills
• Experience in assisted living, memory care, or senior care

Responsibilities

• Lead shift assignments, manage attendance, and coordinate coverage
• Provide hands-on ADL support when needed
• Coach caregivers on quality, hospitality, and documentation standards
• Review charting and ensure alignment with Individualized Service Plans (ISP)
• Monitor resident changes and communicate concerns promptly
