Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a Special Procedural Technologist, Lead, Cardiovascular to join the invasive cardiology lab team. You will supervise, scrub and assist in complex diagnostic and interventional procedures in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's in science/technology field and CV lab certifications, with 2 years’ CV scrub experience or 1 year plus RCIS/RCES, plus BLS/ACLS. You may be assigned to Einstein RAU CATH Lab or Moses campus as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science/math/technology field required.
• 2 years of invasive CV scrub experience or 1 year with RCIS/RCES and RCIS/RCES certification.
• BLS and ACLS required.
• RCIS/RCES or RT (R, CI) or equivalent certification acceptable.
• Knowledge of Cardiac Catheterization and Peripheral Vascular systems and devices.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic, interventional and therapeutic CV procedures including angioplasty, stent, atherectomy, laser, and TAVR.
• Mentor and train staff; resolve scheduling and coverage issues.
• Serve as resource on sterile technique and equipment use/maintenance.
• Assigned to Einstein or Moses campus based on patient care needs.

Education

BLS and ACLS certification

Registered Cardiovascular Technologist (RCIS/RCES) or RT (R, CI) certification
