Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Cardiovascular Diagnostic Laboratory (CVDL) seeks a Lead Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist to supervise imaging teams, oversee invasive procedures, and drive cross-disciplinary collaboration. You will ensure high-quality imaging and patient care while mentoring staff and advancing operational efficiency.

Qualifications include AMA Radiologic Technology training, Maryland Radiology Tech licensure, ARRT certification, ACLS/BLS, and 2.5+ years in CVIL with leadership

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • Maryland licensure as Radiology Tech.
  • ARRT registration required; active ACLS/BLS.
  • BA/BS degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform invasive procedures.
  • Oversee a multi-disciplinary team to optimize performance.
  • Proactively assist in solving issues and promote teamwork among staff.

Job description

The Johns Hopkins Cardiovascular Diagnostic Laboratory (CVDL) is a state-of-the-art imaging facility performing over 24,000 diagnostic and interventional procedures annually. We treat the following conditions:

  • Congenital heart defects
  • Coronary artery disease
  • Cardiomyopathy
  • Heart failure
  • Peripheral vascular disease
  • Valvular heart disease

The CVDL operates eleven (11) procedure rooms. There are general areas within the CVDL:

  • Cardiology
  • Radiology
  • Electrophysiology

We are currently searching for a Lead Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist to join our elite team. As Lead Cardiovascular Tech you will:

  • Perform invasive procedures
  • Optimize team performance by overseeing the multi-disciplinary team
  • Proactively and consistently assist in solving issues/problems
  • Promote teamwork between staff

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic Technology
  • BA or BS degree preferred
  • Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians Quality Assurance as a Radiology Tech
  • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
  • Current ACLS/BLS certification
  • CI, CV, RCES or HRS Certification
  • Two and a half (2 ½) years’ experience in CVIL (full-time)
  • Must have been a CVRT II at Johns Hopkins for a minimum of one (1) year optimal evaluations OR comparable outside experience
Shift:

Full Time (40 hours)

Day Shift (some flexibility with hours)

Open to 5 – 8 hr shifts or 4 – 10 hour shifts

Must be here at 7:00am on Thursdays
