Job summary

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Capital Project Engineer to join the team at the Franklin, LA location. This role drives the development, execution and delivery of capital projects from concept to commissioning at the carbon black facility, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and alignment with plant goals.

The position is based fully onsite at Franklin, LA and requires strong project controls, cost management and cross‑functional collaboration across engineering, procurement and operations.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent; chemical or related industry experience preferred.
• 3+ years of capital project execution experience.
• PMP certification is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects through FEL, scope development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and startup.
• Develop scopes, cost estimates, schedules and execution strategies.
• Coordinate internal and external engineering resources, contractors and vendors.
• Ensure projects meet Cabot standards, site procedures and safety requirements.
