Job summary

Cabot Corporation is seeking a Reliability Engineer to join the Franklin, LA site. The role focuses on improving equipment reliability, availability, and performance to support safe, efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities include RCFA-driven fixes, predictive maintenance, and collaboration with maintenance, operations, and engineering to extend asset life and reduce downtime. On-site role at Franklin, LA with a strong safety and process governance emphasis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Univeristy degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 4+ years’ experience as reliability or maintenance engineer.
• Certifications in vibration monitoring and/or CMRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements to optimize plant performance and reliability.
• Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and ensure corrective actions to eliminate repeats.
• Support PMs and asset lifecycle through RCFA, FMEA, and PdM initiatives.
• Analyze equipment performance data and failure trends for continuous improvement.
• Assist in design, procurement, and installation of new equipment and SOPs.
