Job summary

California State University, San Bernardino is seeking a Lead Community Service Specialist to lead daily operations of the Community Service Specialists and coordinate across campus to ensure consistent enforcement and top-tier customer service. The role includes staff scheduling, training, and collaboration with University Police and campus partners.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent plus related experience, with knowledge of California Vehicle Code and CSU policies

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent with 2 years related experience.
• Thorough knowledge of parking, traffic control, security and/or public safety procedures.
• Familiarity with California Vehicle Code and CSU regulations.
• Ability to plan and schedule unit work and provide lead direction to others.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily operations of Community Service Specialists, drafting work schedules and shift rotations.
• Coordinate with campus management to ensure continuity of operations between campuses.
• Develop and implement operational plans for campus events and projects to ensure safe, coordinated operations.
• Coordinate acquisition and distribution of uniforms, equipment, and supplies for field operations.
• Conduct audits of parking citations, voids, and appeals to ensure compliance and identify corrective actions.
• Provide onboarding and field training for staff and recommend specialized assignments.
