Tatte Bakery & Café in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Chef to oversee all kitchen operations and drive the success of a fast-paced, high-volume cafe team.

You will train up to 25 staff, follow recipes, manage inventory, and implement seasonal menus while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of progressive culinary and kitchen management experience
• Passion for culinary excellence and guest satisfaction
• Knowledge of systems, methods, and processes for operational excellence
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Run production and service according to established guidelines
• Follow standardized recipes, portioning, and presentation standards
• Complete and utilize daily production worksheets and waste logs
• Taste meals to ensure quality
• Train kitchen team members in food preparation, equipment operation, food safety, sanitation, and company standards
• Establish and maintain cleaning and maintenance schedules for equipment and work areas
• Ensure team follows cleaning schedules
• Maintain inventory within guidelines and ensure products are available
• Follow safety and sanitation policies including incident reporting
• Participate in meetings, staff development and training
• Lead seasonal menu changes implementation
• Inspire, coach and develop a high-performing kitchen team
