Job summary

New Albany Country Club is seeking an experienced Lead Café Attendant to support our food and beverage operations in a fast-paced hospitality setting. The role collaborates with Café Managers and staff for daily café, grill, and mobile food service operations.

The ideal candidate brings hospitality experience, strong service mindset, and willingness to train others while covering various shifts, including evenings and weekends when needed. Prior private club experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Previous bartending experience preferred.
• Previous serving, food service, or kitchen experience preferred.
• Private club or upscale hospitality experience is a plus.
• Ability to assist with training and supporting team members.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Working knowledge of POS systems.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during busy or high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Dependable, flexible, and willing to assist wherever needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Café Managers with training new team members in Café, Grill, food truck, and Adult Pool Bar operations.
• Help reinforce proper food safety, health code, sanitation, cleaning, and product rotation standards.
• Assist newer team members and help answer questions during shifts.
• Set a positive example by providing professional, personalized, and attentive service to members and guests.
• Communicate concerns regarding service, staffing, or employee performance to Café Management when appropriate.
• Help monitor food, beverage, paper goods, and other supplies and communicate inventory needs to management.
• Help ensure work areas and facilities remain safe, clean, organized, and welcoming.
• Build relationships with members by providing friendly and personalized service.
• Follow and help reinforce Club policies, safety procedures, and standards of conduct.
• Work regular shifts as needed in a variety of positions, including Café Attendant, Server, Bartender, Pool Server, Pool Bartender, and Food Truck Attendant.
• Assist with month-end inventory.
• Respond appropriately during emergency situations and follow established Club procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
