Job summary

General Motors is seeking a CAE Engineer to gather information, build analytical models, and interpret results for customers. You will lead development of new engineering analysis capabilities and create FEA plans for assigned projects, working with CAE suppliers and internal teams.

You will perform structural analysis on complete Trimmed Vehicle Structure including BIW, chassis, IP, glass, bumpers and modules, coordinating virtual assessments to meet performance criteria and deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical/Aerospace/Automotive or related field.
• 5 years of experience as a CAE/Automotive/Mechanical engineer or related role.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from multiple sources, build and run analytical models, and interpret results for customers.
• Lead and execute development of new engineering analysis capabilities.
• Create and execute FEA plans for assigned projects.
• Lead CAE suppliers and internal resources to meet milestones.
• Perform structural analysis on complete Trimmed Vehicle Structure and related components.
• Coordinate virtual design assessments and compare results to performance requirements.
