Job summary

Instrata Technologies, LLC. seeks a Lead Technician to oversee installation of low voltage and fiber cables, including termination, testing, labeling, and documentation.

You will train and direct technicians, enforce safety policies, coordinate with clients, review project requirements, and provide status updates. Must apply change orders and ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2–5 years experience installing cabling and electronics in Telecom/Networking/Access control contexts.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards & NEC.

Responsibilities

• Train, direct, and oversee technicians on installation, safety, and maintenance per SoW.
• Enforce environmental, health & safety policies.
• Provide regular feedback and development recommendations to field staff.
• Utilize project tools and documentation (SoW, schedule, budget, QA checklists).
• Communicate effectively with clients, management, and coworkers.
• Assess scope changes in real time and escalate impactful issues.
• Provide timely status reports to stakeholders.
• Apply RFC/FCO processes for scope changes.
• Support clients and technicians as needed.
• Meet with clients to determine satisfaction and areas for improvement.
