Job summary

Instrata Technologies, LLC. is seeking a Lead Technician to oversee field installations across voice, data, fiber, and structured cabling. You will lead on-site teams, install and test cables, and ensure quality and safety on every project.

In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll mentor technicians, enforce standards, coordinate with clients, and manage scope changes as needed to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years hands-on experience installing telecom cabling, TCP/IP networks, CCTV, wireless, and access control systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with power and hand tools.
• Knowledge of ANSI/TIA/EIA cabling standards and NEC.
• Ability to install, terminate, and test low-voltage and fiber optic cables.
• Strong documentation and organizational skills.
• Experience with installation planning tools and client-facing reporting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Own the installation of structured cable across types.
• Train technicians and ensure work aligns with SoW, on time.
• Enforce safety policies and elevate high-risk activities.
• Manage deliverables: SoW, Schedule, Budget, and dependencies.
• Communicate with clients and internal teams; share updates.
• Adapt to changes in scope, schedule, or resources.
• Support RFC/FCO processes.
• Ensure client satisfaction and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide feedback on field performance with project leaders.
