National Fiber and Copper, Inc. is seeking a technician in the Washington DC metro area to perform all phases of structured cabling installations, including copper and fiber, with 2–4 years of experience and a requirement to pass a background check.

The role requires independent work, strong verbal and written communication, and the ability to document test results clearly. You will bring your own hand tools, maintain safety standards, and may travel as needed to client sites across the

• BICSI certification a plus
• 2-4 Years experience with all phases of structured cabling installations

Responsibilities

• Install and test copper and fiber cabling end-to-end
• Document test results and maintain network labeling and records
• Troubleshoot and repair outages to maintain network integrity
• Ensure safe work environments and proper tool usage
• Travel may be required as needed
• Bring and use your own hand tools

Technical Skills And Qualifications

• Knowledge of installation and testing of copper cable, CAT 5e, CAT 6, CAT 6a, Coax, optical fiber, audio visual installations, cross connects, cutover, raceway/tray/ conduit installs
• Verifies service by terminating and testing connectivity of equipment and cables
• Documents network by labeling and recording test resultsMaintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages
• Maintains safe work environments
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and advanced training seminars.
• Must provide your own hand tools
• Some travel may be required
