Job summary

Jobtailor in Chantilly, VA seeks an experienced Structured Cabling technician to pull, terminate, and test copper and fiber cables, install cable trays, and support hardware installations. You will read blueprints, generate BOQs, document test results, and communicate closely with customers and the project manager while ensuring safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5 years structured cabling experience.
• BICSI certifications are a plus but not required.
• High School plus advanced training.
• Security clearance is a plus but not required.
• US Citizenship is required for access to buildings and installations.
• Proficient in the use of hand tools, including various punch tools and test equipment.
• Capable of reading blueprints and cut-sheets as well as generating test reports and as‑builts.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work overhead reach for extended periods of time, work on hands and knees.
• Ability to communicate well in English both verbally and written.

• Has working knowledge of networks such as ETHERNET, TOKEN-RING and FDDI.
