FieldLink is a professional services company specializing in deploying Field Resources on a contingent and full-time basis. We provide customized staffing solutions to support the design, implementation, and support of voice, data, and video networks across the nation. We are hiring for a Lead Structured Cable Technician in the greater Dallas area. This is a full-time role.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Technical Work
1. Installation of cable infrastructure (CAT5/E, CAT6, and Fiber).
2. Dress and route cable into IT closets, modular furniture, and other work area outlets.
3. Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks).
4. Cable management (dressing and labeling).
5. Cable Termination (Patch Panel, Jacks, Keystones, RJ-45/Modular Plug).
6. Wireless Access Point (WAP), Fiber ONT, and Network Switch installation.
7. IT Closet Builds (Data rack, ladder rack, cable tray, patch panel, sleeves, 110/66 blocks).
8. Fiber splicing, installation, and testing (Fluke and OTDR experience).
9. Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
10. Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up jobsite, OSHA).
2. Management
1. Manage teams to effectively complete large-scale commercial projects.
2. GC/Client management experience.
3. Conduct safety meetings.
4. Order appropriate materials as necessary.
5. Necessary Labor Forecasting.
6. Blueprint changes. Submit change orders to Project Manager.

Job Requirements:

1. High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
2. 7+ years of commercial structured cabling, low voltage, or data cable installation experience.
3. Understanding BICSI Standards for installation.
4. Active OSHA 10 – preferred.
5. Scissor/Boom Lift Certification – preferred.
6. Hilti, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Certifications – preferred.
7. Physical Requirement: Ability to work at heights, on a ladder and/or scissor lift, and work in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. Ability to work on your feet for entire shift.
8. Tools: Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver (multi-Bit), torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers (needle nose and channel locks), cable stripper, punch tool 110/66, modular plug crimper, flashlight, work boots (steel toe or composite toe), hammer, wrench set, gloves, and tool pouch.
