Job Description Key Responsibilities
- Own the full purchasing lifecycle for assigned components, from planned order release through supplier delivery, receipt, and payment.
- Execute and manage purchase orders to ensure uninterrupted material flow and on‑time production support.
- Partner with Master Scheduling and Engineering teams to support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain accurate order execution.
- Monitor supplier performance and proactively expedite materials to mitigate delivery risks and production disruptions.
- Drive improvements in key supply chain and procure-to-pay performance metrics through data analysis and problem solving.
- Collaborate with Global Commodity Leaders to align sourcing strategies and support supplier performance for the Schenectady manufacturing operation.
- Resolve supply chain constraints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to improve material availability and delivery performance.
- Support operational planning activities while balancing inventory, supplier capacity, and production requirements.
- Build strong partnerships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive accountability, communication, and execution.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in manufacturing, procurement, sourcing, planning, supply chain, or engineering.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Oracle or other enterprise platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic production environment.
- Experience supporting supplier delivery performance, expediting materials, and managing Line of Balance (LOB) requirements.
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to identify issues, drive resolution, and improve operational performance.
Desired Characteristics
- Experience supporting renewable energy, power generation, or advanced manufacturing operations.
- Familiarity with Oracle, Corella, Manufacturing Operations Systems (MOS), ServiceNow, or similar business platforms.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement methodologies, and standard work practices.
- Experience coordinating projects or programs across cross‑functional teams.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to leverage data, reporting, and visualization tools to drive decisions.
- Exposure to global supply chains, international suppliers, or multinational operations.
The base pay range for this position is $94,600-157,700 USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a 10% performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
