Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Lead Sourcing Specialist to drive procurement excellence across supplier relationships, cost optimization, and contract negotiations. You will oversee PO issuance, supplier performance, and CAPEX sourcing for facilities and infrastructure projects.

The role requires a strong background in sourcing/procurement, effective negotiation skills, and experience with ERP systems such as SAP.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain roles.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Strong negotiation, evaluation, and communication skills.
  • Organized, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Place and follow-up on POs.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers for PO execution.
  • Manage problems and schedule changes and update ERP accordingly.
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies balancing cost and quality.
  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with new and existing suppliers.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships, ensuring performance and compliance.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align procurement timelines and project requirements.
  • Oversee bidding processes, contract negotiation, and finalization for capital projects and services.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to support new product launches efficiently and cost-effectively.
  • Manage RFQ processes, supplier selection, and procurement readiness for production ramp-up.
  • Implement and monitor Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) programs to improve supply continuity.
  • Evaluate supply chain constraints and negotiate improved lead times through forecasting and capacity planning.
  • Oversee procurement activities including RFQs, purchase orders, and contract execution.
  • Conduct market research and assessments to inform procurement actions.

This role is essential in overseeing supplier relationships, optimizing costs, facilitating contract negotiations, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and materials.

Relocation Assistance Provided: No For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $82,900.00 and $138,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
