Job summary

Mercy is seeking an experienced business analyst to define scope, map data flows and drive functional specifications across finance and supply chain systems. You will perform requirements gathering, configuration, testing and data reconciliation to deliver practical solutions.

Responsibilities include analyzing business processes, identifying gaps, and supporting security setup. A strong background in Lawson S3 and related systems is strongly preferred, with exceptional communication and project

• Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of relevant technical or business work experience.
• Lawson S3 development experience strongly desired.
• Strong supply chain and finance experience preferred.
• Lawson administration experience preferred.

Job description

Primary Function Formulates and defines business scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of business and industry requirements Performs functional analysis, requirements, definition and application module configuration and testing. Responsible for conducting prototypes, developing functional specifications, data mapping, function mapping, setting of configuration tables and setting of transaction/control tables Has a thorough understanding of the business processes and flows to enable the analysis of business requirements and the development of solutions for the business functions Responsible for the identification of and resolution of gaps in the business processes. Involved in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation May be involved in the installation and tuning of modification, as well as archiving data. Generally, this position has light programming skills in the appropriate language to develop necessary work arounds.

• Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in related field, specialized training, or equivalent work experience
• Required Experience: Minimum of Eight (8) years of relevant technical or business work experience
• Desired Experience: Lawson S3 development experience strongly desired
• Strong supply chain and finance experience preferred
• Lawson administration experience preferred
• Other: Deep understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the relevant business
• Deep knowledge of requirements management, diagramming, use case development
• Deep knowledge in process design, reengineering, and requirements documentation methodologies
• Experience in the design and production of quality deliverables
• Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Strong vendor relationship skills
• Skilled in Project Management, has ability to manage small to intermediate projects
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Our Mercy health system was founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1986. But our heritage goes back more than 195 years. It began with an Irish woman named Catherine McAuley, who was determined to help women and children in Dublin experiencing poverty. Though Catherine had a modest upbringing, she received an unexpected inheritance that allowed her to fulfill that dream. In 1827, she opened the first House of Mercy in Dublin, intending to teach skills to women and educate children. Many volunteers came to help. A few years later, Catherine founded the Sisters of Mercy, one of the first religious orders whose Sisters were free to walk among the poor and visit them in their homes. In 1843, the Sisters of Mercy came to the United States. In 1856, they traveled to St. Louis. In the years to come, they would establish hospitals throughout the Midwest. Many of these would join together in 1986 as Mercy.
