• Preferred: CDL class (A or B) with P & S endorsement and one year bus driving experience.
• Accepted: CDL with P & S endorsement and School Bus Driver Certificate of Training.
• DOT physical and drug screen.

We are seeking a Lead Bus Driver to join our team in Alexandria, IN

As the Lead Bus Driver you will ensure all bus staff provide safe, reliable, and on-time transportation for children enrolled in the program as outlined in the ECMHSP Transportation Manual. You will be responsible for transportation leadership services for designated campuses. This means you will monitor, supervise, maintain records and reports, and may serve as a substitute Bus Driver when needed.

Who are we?

We are a nonprofit Head Start organization that was established in 1974. We serve migrant and seasonal farmworker children and families by providing high-quality early childhood education in a safe and nurturing environment. We have 50 campuses across 10 states, and we serve nearly 3,000 children each year.

What you need to be qualified

Preferred: High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED), Commercial Driving License (CDL), class (A or B), with P & S endorsement and one year bus driving experience. School Bus Driver Certificate of Training and supervisory experience.

Accepted: High School Diploma or GED, CDL (class A or B), with P & S endorsement and School Bus Driver Certificate of Training.
